		ULearnChinese has six levels. Each level is colour coded and supplied in an acrylic case. Each level includes a text book, workbook, teacher guide, a CD with pdfs of the text book and work book, for printing or projection, and complete audio tracks recorded by both male and female voices. ULearnChinese Soundbooth, a fully interactive language lab is supplied on a second CD for use on any pc. It can also be copied for use across the school or at home. Additional copies of the text book and work book may be purchased or they can be printed locally from the pdfs.
		Each A5 spiral-bound text book, approximately 100 pages per level, has five teaching units. There are 5 or six taught lessons a unit - approximately 30 taught lessons per book. Indexes of the vocabulary used can be found at the end of each book in both pinyin and English.
		The workbook with exercises that follow the structure of each unit provides opportunities for cross curricular work. Pages can be printed from the CD to construct individual learning plans.
		The comprehensive teacher guide for each level enables non-native teachers to deliver the programme whilst supporting specialist teachers. There are many activities that suipport cross-curricular development bringing Chinese into main stream education. Level One has 148 pages of activities with specified learning objectives.
		The first CD contains pdfs of the text book and workbook as well as full indexed mp3 audio recordings of all the vocabulary in the book. The second CD contains ULearnChinese Soundbooth. This is a fully interactive language lab that can be run on any pc. Visual stimulus material and original audio create an active learning environment. A drop down pinyin keyboard allows text input and learners can record their own voice for comparison with the original. All input is saved as either a web page or an mp3 recording.
