We have great pleasure in announcing a new Chinese language learning programme, ULearnChinese. Introducing Chinese language and culture and targeted to support both native and non-native teachers the series is designed for KS 1 and 2 but has been successfully piloted at KS 4
to introduce Chinese as an ab initio
language.
We would like to thank Dr Wang Qian for his invaluable assistance in editing the Chinese
in the programme, Professor Xinzhong Yao
of Kings College, University of London (Former Director
of the Confucius Institute, University of Wales, Lampeter), Dr Yanxia Zhao, Lecturer in the Department of Chinese Studies, Dr Thomas Jansen, Director of the Confucius Institute, and visiting

The Author
Ena Niedergang has
extensive experience, both as a qualified primary school teacher and lecturer, with
a particular interest in Chinese history and culture. With over 20 years as a
Chinese consultant her experience includes working, advising and teaching in China
and the UK.
